Like Father, Like Son

Kapoor Khazana ended in June but hey, someone's gotta be fashionably late to the party, so why not me?

In keeping with my last post (Chalka Chalka Re vs. Yaaro Yaarodi) here's another video war to vote on.

Two Kapoors.

Two movies.

One song.

Whose Bachna Ae Haseeno was better, Rishi's or Ranbir's?

Bachna Ae Haseeno (Hum Kisise Kum Nahin, 1977):

Bachna Ae Haseeno (Bachna Ae Haseeno, 2008):

I'd have to go for Bachna Ae Haseeno, purely because I like the song more. But in terms of a visual feast, the Rishi Kapoor song is better. Bachna Ae Haseeno is a cover, but do you know from which film? (I've forgotten!)

Nice to see your contribution to Kapoor Khazana - I too was about to leave it late but managed to post my Milenge Milenge review just before the end of June. Check it out! (Please leave a comment!!!)

Ranbir's BaH is a cover of his father's BaH--they're the exact same song, but Ranbir's has an extra hook or two sung by Vishal. Other than that they're both the original Kishore Kumar. Rishi's BaH comes from Hum Kisisi Se Kum Nahin (I put the film titles in the post).

Rishi Kapoor's is the winner for me, but I am an extremely biased fangirl! :-)

I *really* like Rishi's, for the 70s kitsch alone. Ranbir's is easier to dance to though. Hmm. Solution? Watch Rishi's on mute and play Ranbir's to go along with it! :P
